How do I check if my website is accessible?
Enter your web address in the free check on jralo.com. It tests your homepage and up to five linked pages against WCAG 2.2 A and AA with axe-core, and also checks for broken links, page errors, broken images, insecure files and slow pages. No sign-up is needed. Automated testing finds many, not all, accessibility problems, so pair it with a keyboard and screen reader check.
Is my website ADA compliant?
No tool can tell you that. There is no official ADA certification for websites, and the US Department of Justice does not certify products as compliant. What you can do is test against WCAG, fix what you find and keep a dated record of it. Jralo does all three.7
Does the European Accessibility Act apply to my online store?
Very likely, if you sell to consumers in the EU. Since 28 June 2025 the Act covers e-commerce services wherever the seller is based. Microenterprises (fewer than 10 staff and EUR 2 million or less in turnover or balance sheet) are exempt for services. Each EU country enforces it under its own law; see the country guides on this site.
Do accessibility widgets or overlays make a website compliant?
No. A widget does not change the underlying code, and regulators have acted against compliance claims: the US Federal Trade Commission ordered one overlay vendor to pay USD 1 million in 2025 over claims that its tool made sites compliant. Fixing the code is what works.
Can Jralo fix accessibility problems automatically?
Yes, for sites whose code is on GitHub. Website Mechanic changes your code to fix what the latest check found, re-runs the checks and opens a pull request for you to review. It never pushes to your main branch or merges anything. One fix cycle costs USD 49, and your first fix is free.
What is the Jralo public record?
An optional public page at jralo.com/monitored/your-site, with a live badge and a listing in the Jralo directory. It shows that Jralo checks the site every day and that each check is on a tamper-evident, independently timestamped record. It never shows issues or scores, and it does not say a site meets any law.
Does Jralo do website QA testing?
Yes, automatically. Every check also looks for broken links on your own site, JavaScript errors, images and files that fail to load, insecure (http) files and pages slower than 5 seconds. Paid plans run it every day. It does not fill in forms, log in or place test orders.
Does it work with Shopify, WooCommerce or my platform?
Yes. Jralo checks any website or store by its web address: Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, Magento, WordPress, Webflow, Framer, Drupal or a custom build. A Shopify app and a WooCommerce plugin are in development.
Which countries does Jralo cover?
The checks work for any public website. The guides on this site cover 32 markets, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union and its main member states, Israel, India, Australia, Japan and Brazil. They all use WCAG as the technical reference, so one record works everywhere; how each law is enforced differs.
What can Jralo see if I connect GitHub?
Only the repositories you pick when you connect. Website Mechanic reads that code to make a fix, then opens a pull request for you to review. Code is not kept after the job and is never used to train AI. You can remove Jralo's access from your GitHub settings at any time.
Can I import results from axe, Lighthouse or Playwright, or add a CI check?
Yes, on paid plans. Send axe-core, Playwright (with @axe-core/playwright) or Lighthouse results to your site's evidence log with a site token, and the same call tells your pipeline whether to fail on critical or serious problems. The setup guide is at jralo.com/docs/ci.
I received a website accessibility demand letter. What should I do?
Talk to a lawyer before you reply. The Demand Letter Evidence Pack (USD 249, with 6 months of the Site plan) re-checks the pages the letter cites the same day and maps each cited problem to your record, as a PDF and CSV for your lawyer. Jralo never contacts anyone on your behalf and does not give legal advice.
Do you share or sell scan results?
Never. We do not give lists of sites or issues to anyone, including law firms. Sites appear in the public directory only if their owner chooses to publish a record.
